Gloton Sustains – Carton Reclaims

Gloton is not only committed to designing and producing creative cardboard products but also harbors a greater aspiration: to contribute to the protection of our green planet.

Have you ever wondered where the cardboard sheets go after events or excess production? At Gloton, we have the answer, it is an inspiring journey of cardboard "rebirth.”

Below are the detailed steps in Gloton’s cardboard recycling journey. Let’s explore!

Step 1: Collect

The first and most important step in Gloton’s recycling process is gathering the cardboard sheets.

These sheets may be leftovers from the production of models or materials used in events decorated by Gloton.

All are carefully collected and brought back to the workshop to begin the processing journey.

Step 2: Clean

Back at the workshop, all non-recyclable components such as decals, glue, staples, tape, and other impurities are removed from the cardboard.

This process is done manually by Gloton’s team, ensuring that each cardboard meets the standards needed to serve as the foundation for new products.

Step 3: Renew

This is the heart of Gloton’s recycling process where old cardboard is given new life and transformed into valuable products.

After cleaning, the sheets are carefully sorted based on thickness, size, and condition to suit various purposes:

  • Souvenirs for clients: Gloton will transform cardboards with clear logos and images of the event into unique souvenirs, bearing the mark of customers and partners as a thank you and affirmation of commitment to sustainability.
  • Structural frames: Durable and strong cardboard sheets are repurposed to create support structures for future event decorations such as welcome arches, backdrops, or large models.
  • Sharing corner: Cardboard is crafted into toys, educational tools or decorative items, which are then donated to children in orphanages as a small effort to support the community.
  • Model prototypes: Used for creating sample models for projects, helping clients visualize ideas and enabling Gloton to fine-tune designs before full-scale production.

Step 4: Send Scraps To Junk Buyers

Small fragments, leftover bits, or cardboard not meeting standards in Step 3 are gathered and handed over to junk buyers, ensuring not even the tiniest piece goes to waste.

Gloton’s cardboard recycling process not only helps protect the environment but also creates new value from seemingly discarded materials. Gloton believes that every small action contributes to a greater impact, toward a more sustainable future.

"Seeing how much waste events create, Gloton started exploring the use of cardboard for decorations in 2022. Our goal is to cut carbon emissions by using recycled, eco-friendly materials.

Every project tells a story of our creativity, our dedication to protecting the planet, and our drive to keep innovating."
