Nordic Day - Getting to Green.

I. Introduction.

As part of the GEFE 2024 (Green Economy Forum & Exhibition) series, the event "Nordic Day - Getting to Green", organized by the Danish Embassy, took place with the message of promoting sustainable and eco-friendly development.

Gloton is proud to contribute to this event by exclusively using green materials – cardboard – to create an impressive event space that aligns with the program’s sustainability goals.

II. Project overview.

Gloton was responsible for the entire event decoration of "Nordic Day - Getting to Green". The objective was to design a unique and creative space, entirely made from cardboard, providing an environmentally friendly solution.

"Gloton was a perfect match for our project. Their products focus on environmental protection and sustainability, which align with our goals. Their creative ideas are not only visually appealing but also demonstrate social responsibility in protecting the environment. This left a strong impression on all attendees."
– Mrs. Mette Ekeroth, Deputy Ambassador of Denmark to Vietnam

1. Consultation & site survey.

Gloton conducted an on-site survey and discussions with partners to gain a deeper understanding of the event's key message – towards a green future.

During the consultation, the Danish Embassy proposed using cardboard, as it is not only aesthetically pleasing but also a sustainable, recyclable material.

2. Design process.

Smart joint system: The modules were designed to connect seamlessly using a smart joint technique, ensuring stability and durability without relying on traditional metal frames or adhesives.

This method reduces costs, installation time, and optimizes assembly.

The cardboard sheets are cut with high precision using CNC technology, creating interlocking slots and tabs that fit perfectly together.
Once assembled, the joints provide structural stability without the need for additional adhesives.

Flexibility & reusability.

The modular design allows for easy disassembly and reuse in various projects. Without fixed frames, this system is highly flexible, easy to transport, and store. Structures can be easily resized or reshaped without damaging the core components.

Eco-friendly approach: No metal frames or glue means less waste and reduced environmental impact.
This approach perfectly aligns with the "Getting to Green" theme, emphasizing sustainable materials and eco-conscious design.

The modules can be reused multiple times, minimizing waste and supporting sustainable development
3. Production logistics

High-quality cardboard was selected to ensure both durability and aesthetics in the decorations.
Every step, from printing and cutting to assembly, was carefully executed to optimize production efficiency and minimize material waste.

4. On-site installation.

The installation process was quick and effective, carried out by Gloton’s professional team.
Structures such as backdrops, trees, and modular displays were assembled on-site, creating a modern, visually appealing, and environmentally friendly event space.

5. Event execution.

Nordic Day - Getting to Green was a successful event, attracting a large number of participants.
Gloton’s decorative solutions – from trees and backdrops to modular structures – made a strong impression on guests.
The innovative use of cardboard without support frames showcased the creativity and stability of the designs.
