"Forest Harmony No.3 – TRÒN": Classical Music Connecting With The Love For Forests And Highland Children.

I. Introduction.

Spring and Summer have passed with the success of two concerts, "Lì xì cây cho rừng" and "Gieo." Now, as Autumn and Winter arrive, marking the end of this year's reforestation season, we are honored to present the final concert of the Forest Harmony 2024 project—TRÒN Concert.

Forest Harmony No.3 – TRÒN is the perfect connection between music, nature, and profound human values.

We use the image of tree rings, representing a tree’s "age," to paint the full moon for this Mid-Autumn Festival, which also serves as the central theme of this concert.

II. Project Overview.

Gloton, with the mission of "Providing a diverse ecosystem of aesthetically pleasing, environmentally friendly products and services with practical applications in event decoration," has fully utilized cardboard materials—a perfect combination of creativity and sustainability—to enhance the “Forest Harmony No.3” program.

With the goal of reducing carbon emissions through the use of recycled and eco-friendly materials.
Each of Gloton’s projects is a testament to our creativity, commitment to environmental protection, and relentless spirit of innovation.

1. Consultation & survey.

This is the initial stage, where the Gloton team conducts site assessments, evaluates the space, and reviews the conditions for event execution.

Factors such as area, lighting, and infrastructure are carefully considered. Based on this, the team provides the best implementation plan for the event.

2. Design.

Following the survey, the next step is to develop ideas and create the overall design for the event.

Gloton’s creative team will draft sketches, design the space, decorations, stage, and other related elements, ensuring harmony with the theme and client requirements.

3. Logistics & production.

During this phase, production, manufacturing, and material preparation take place.

Elements such as decorations, accessories, and necessary equipment are carefully prepared for transportation to the venue.

The logistics team ensures everything is ready on schedule and meets quality standards.

4. On-Site Setup,

The setup team carries out installations and decorations according to the approved design.

From stage construction and spatial arrangement to technical installations, every detail is executed with precision and excellence.

5. Event Execution.

Throughout the event, the technical and support teams are present to supervise and address any arising issues promptly. Let’s take a look at some impactful figures from TRÒN Concert:
  • 382 attendees, with all tickets sold out.
  • 45 honeycomb cardboard sheets (2m x 1.2m, 2cm thick) covered with artwork were used.
  • 32 hours of meetings among 12 collaborating partners.
  • 28 hours dedicated to design demo and modifications.
  • 8 personnel for direct execution.
  • 17 hours for full setup completion.
  • 1,000 kWh of electricity was consumed during preparation and performance, primarily sourced from thermal power (which generates the highest CO2 emissions).
  • Each kWh of thermal electricity releases up to 2.5 kg of CO2, amounting to an estimated 2,500 kg CO2 from electricity consumption.
  • Additionally, nearly 400 attendees, 70 artists, and 100 crew members participated in the event.
  • Assuming each person used a motorbike, traveling an average of 30 km within the city, with a fuel consumption of 3L/100km per bike.
  • Each liter of fuel releases 2.3 kg of CO2, leading to an estimated 1,242 kg CO2 emissions from transportation.
  • The total CO2 emissions from electricity and travel are estimated at 3,742 kg CO2.
Each young tree planted can absorb 5–10 kg CO2 per year, increasing to 22 kg/year in maturity. To offset the emissions from the concert, 750 trees would need to be planted.

However, as calculations are estimations, we will plant 2,000 trees to account for any overlooked factors and additional activities not listed in detail.

All trees will be planted in Bidoup Nui Ba National Park, the source of the Dong Nai River, which sustains Saigon and the regions it flows through. By doing so, we not only neutralize CO2 emissions but also contribute to preserving Saigon’s crucial water resources.

Together, in 2024, we have planted 67,800 trees and delivered 10,000 books to villages.

6. Audience satisfaction.

Forest Harmony No.3 – TRÒN concluded with lingering emotions, where classical music intertwined with love for nature and profound human values.

The concert not only brought refined, uplifting melodies but also delivered a powerful message of environmental protection, community connection, and bringing joy to children in remote areas.

III. Conclusion.

The circles of tree rings, the full moon, and the spirit of sharing have created an emotionally rich space where every audience member feels the deep connection between people and nature.

The journey of music, nature, and kindness will continue to spread, contributing to a sustainable green future for all.
TRÒN is not just a concert—it is a call to action for all of us to work towards a greener future.

"Seeing how much waste events create, Gloton started exploring the use of cardboard for decorations in 2022. Our goal is to cut carbon emissions by using recycled, eco-friendly materials. Every project tells a story of our creativity, our dedication to protecting the planet, and our drive to keep innovating."
