I. Introduction
The exhibition “Women & Climate Change” not only offers a fresh perspective on the role of women in the fight against climate change but also affirms the spirit of creativity tied to sustainable development. In the context of climate change increasingly affecting our lives, the voices and stories of women and the environment need to be heard and amplified.
As part of an international research collaboration funded by the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, in partnership with the British Council, LSBU, and UEH, the exhibition creates a space for dialogue between gender and the environment — where innovative, planet-friendly solutions are introduced and shared.
The “Women & Climate Change” exhibition and Gloton were also featured on the news of South Bank Innovation London – the UK’s leading innovation hub.

II. Project Overview
For this exhibition, Gloton introduced 12 carton backdrops designed as “open frames,” where visitors could see and experience the message about the connection between women and climate change.
Beyond creating an aesthetic exhibition space, Gloton also presented the “green carton” solution — a recycling process that gives carton a new life after the event.

1: Consultation
Gloton is not only an executor but also a companion in sustainable design thinking. For every project, we begin by listening to the client’s needs, surveying the space, and analyzing the event’s objectives in order to provide tailored solutions that effectively convey a green message.
2: Design
12 backdrops: In the “Women & Climate Change” exhibition, Gloton designed and produced 12 backdrops, each reflecting a unique theme based on the exhibition’s content. They ensured consistency within the overall concept while giving each backdrop its own distinctive identity.
All backdrops were developed in line with the event’s theme and green aesthetic orientation, using lightweight honeycomb carton material that can be easily transported to different venues.

Multi-functional Display Table: Crafted from honeycomb carton and designed with a modular structure, the table can be easily assembled and dismantled, making it convenient to move between different spaces.
Versatile usage: It serves not only as a display area for documents and product samples but also as a reception desk or an interactive spot for visitors.

With its sleek, modern design combined with the warmth of carton material, the table stands out from conventional display furniture. It is reusable multiple times, helping to reduce both event costs and waste.
These multi-functional display tables bring flexibility, practicality, and eco-friendliness to exhibition spaces while enabling businesses to showcase their brand image effectively.

3: Production Logistics
To ensure both timeline and quality across the entire project, Gloton developed a well-structured production logistics plan from preparation to completion.
Production process: Key items such as backdrops, display tables, and booths were manufactured directly at Gloton’s workshop using CNC machines specialized for honeycomb carton. This guaranteed precise cutting and assembly, ensuring both stability and aesthetics.
Material management: All carton materials were sourced responsibly, meeting green – durable – recyclable standards. The smart design approach maximized the use of each carton sheet during cutting, effectively minimizing production waste.

Supervision team: A dedicated team closely monitored every stage of production to ensure that all deliverables strictly followed the approved designs and met technical requirements.
Thanks to thorough preparation in production logistics, Gloton delivered items on time, with high quality and optimized costs—contributing to the overall success of the event.
4: Optimized Transportation
Transportation is always a crucial stage that directly impacts both the timeline and product safety.
All products were designed in a modular format, allowing easy assembly, disassembly, and compact packing—significantly reducing volume and space during transport.
With this approach, a single small van was sufficient to transport all materials to the event venue, not only saving logistics costs but also reducing carbon emissions—perfectly aligned with the green development orientation.

Thanks to the optimized transportation solution, Gloton was able to promptly support events across multiple venues—including inner-city locations and crowded areas with restrictions on heavy vehicles—while ensuring that all products arrived in perfect condition.
5: On-site Installation
After production and transportation, Gloton moved into the crucial stage of on-site construction and installation, bringing the designs to life as a vibrant and complete event space.
Efficient installation process: Thanks to the smart modular structure, items such as backdrops and exhibition tables were assembled quickly without the need for metal frames or complex adhesives. The process was clean and quiet, with no loud noise or disturbance from heavy machinery.

Safety & Aesthetics: The technical team closely supervised the entire process to ensure each structure was stable, safe for attendees, and faithful to the original design concept.
Flexibility in Space: In cases of layout changes or additional requirements, Gloton could easily adjust the setup thanks to modular, detachable components.
On-time Completion: A well-structured installation schedule ensured the event space was delivered punctually to the client.
