Because sometimes, a green journey doesn’t start from something grand — it begins when we learn to cherish what already exists and let each material continue its story in a new way.

I. Why Cardboard Recycling Matters?
1. Reducing waste pressure
Every cardboard sheet that gets “a second life” means one less piece of waste sent to the environment. It lessens the need for new production and reduces carbon emissions from industrial manufacturing.
2. Saving costs
Instead of producing or purchasing new materials, we clean, reinforce, and transform used cardboard from previous events into new booths, arches, backdrops, and decorative models.
This process helps save 40–60% of material costs while giving each sheet a longer, more sustainable life cycle.
3. Strengthening brand value
in this day and age when CSR and ESG have become key measures of corporate reputation, every small act of recycling sends a powerful message about responsibility and purpose.
II. The Creative Recycling Journey at UEH’s Halloween “Rock Show”
After the “Women & Climate Change” Green Exhibition at UEH - a project fully constructed by Gloton using recycled cardboard, those once-silent panels found themselves back in the spotlight.
They were collected, cleaned, and reimagined for a brand-new event: the bold and vibrant Halloween “Rock Show” at UEH.
First, two large black cardboard panels from the previous exhibition were stripped of their old details and reshaped with CNC cutting to create strong, hollow structures — echoing the edgy, rebellious spirit of rock music.

Additionally, two old standees were refurbished and repurposed to form dual side backdrops, completing a visually balanced and dynamic stage layout.
A new look with the same old spirit: green and innovative
The result was a unique, powerful, and distinctive Halloween backdrop. The once-used cardboard panels were no longer silent; they were reborn as the heart of the event, capturing attention and creating a truly memorable atmosphere.
