Popular Event Decoration Materials.

In the event organization industry, choosing the right decoration materials is not only essential for creating beautiful and impressive spaces but also influences customer experience and event success.

Therefore, event decorators need to master color coordination, technical specifications, and most importantly, be well-versed in decoration materials.

This knowledge helps provide appropriate consultation for the program, enables easy and cost-effective execution for clients, and results in stunning decorations.

Below are some widely used popular event decoration materials.

1: Hiflex.

Hiflex, also known as Hiflex tarpaulin, is primarily made from PVC plastic.

It has a milky white color, is weather-resistant, and flexible. Once coated with a protective film, Hiflex becomes the most widely used material in Vietnam today.

You can commonly see Hiflex used for billboards, light boxes, posters, banners, and streamers across streets. Beyond outdoor advertising, Hiflex is also effective for indoor use, such as fairs, exhibitions, and conferences.

2: Carton.

Carton (commonly known as cardboard or corrugated paper) is a popular material in the packaging industry.

It consists of at least two layers: a corrugated layer and a liner. In some cases, carton can have up to nine layers to support heavy goods.

Additionally, carton can be printed on to effectively promote branding. In event decoration, carton can replace materials like plastic, nylon, aluminum, or steel, offering a reusable and environmentally friendly alternative.

3: MDF.

MDF stands for Medium Density Fiberboard. Its main components include natural wood chips, scraps, and branches, which are broken down into fine cellulose fibers.

The fibers are then washed to remove impurities and mixed with glue and adhesives to form solid boards under pressure.

In event decoration, MDF is commonly used for partitions, stage decorations, and mini landscapes.

4: Mica.

Mica is a flexible plastic material, also known as acrylic glass, derived from refined petroleum and scientifically referred to as PMMA (Poly Methacrylate).

Mica can be transparent or come in a variety of colors, offering versatile options. Transparent mica is often compared to glass.

Mica is widely applied in advertising and decoration for items like signs, LED light boxes, large display boards requiring high quality, and decorative objects in stores. It is also used for furniture such as tables, chairs, and doors.

5: Formex.

Formex is a type of PVC foam plastic produced through high-temperature compression. It has a soft, lightweight, flat, yet slightly rough surface and can be rolled up for easy transportation and storage.

Formex behaves similarly to paper, adhering well to glue and sticking to various surfaces like walls, glass, or wood. This safe, recyclable material is widely used for backdrops, models, decorative items, and event props.

6: Alu.

Alu sheets, known as aluminum composite panels, feature an aluminum exterior and a plastic core.

This material is commonly used for surface cladding, signboards, and facade panels in the advertising industry. Alu sheets are lightweight, available in various colors, and are widely used in daily life.

Conclusion: The diversity of decoration materials listed above represents only a fraction of the creative possibilities available in the event industry.

By selecting and combining these materials in a creative and practical way, event decorators can deliver successful and memorable events for every occasion.

"Seeing how much waste events create, Gloton started exploring the use of cardboard for decorations in 2022. Our goal is to cut carbon emissions by using recycled, eco-friendly materials.
Every project tells a story of our creativity, our dedication to protecting the planet, and our drive to keep innovating."
