Gloton’s ESG Journey Started with the “Ủ mầm ủ mưu” Campaign

According to VNExpress, at the Vietnam ESG Investment Conference 2025, many international investors shared one common view thatVietnam has a golden opportunity to attract sustainable investment. However, to seize this opportunity, Vietnamese enterprises must develop a clear ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) plan and take concrete action in the coming years. ESG is no longer just a global trend or formal declaration - it is becoming the development standard for businesses in Vietnam.

A recent survey by MCG Group shows that most companies are still weakest in the “E - Environment” pillar of ESG. Specifically, they lack transparency and do not have concrete plans to tackle key environmental challenges. This highlights the urgent need to act now, even in small ways to create real change.

I. ESG at Gloton: Small Actions, Big Changes

At Gloton, our ESG journey started with simple, tangible actions: our weekly “Nói NO với nhựa” (Say NO to Plastic) Wednesdays, in-house ESG awareness programs, and most notably, the “Ủ mầm, ủ mưu” workshop in May 2025. This initiative went beyond an internal campaign — it created a space where like-minded partners and businesses connected for green development. The workshop embodied a truly sustainable experience, from eco-conscious ideas to event materials, aligning with our “Party Peace” concept that minimizes carbon emissions while promoting sustainable growth.

II. “Nurturing Green, Growing Ideas”: Green Ideas in Every Detail

1. Standees

Gloton used 2cm bee nest cardboard, easy to reuse and biodegradable, instead of plastic or foam boards.

2. E-invitations

We sent digital invitations instead of printing them, to reduce paper waste.

3. Certificates

Instead of plastic or acrylic, Gloton made certificates from cardboard. It’s not just a souvenir, but a reminder that green actions should be appreciated.

4. Eco-friendly Venue

Gloton chose a green space with available greenery and natural light to reduce electricity consumption and brought the “E” in ESG directly into the event environment.

5. Green Catering

Gloton used glass cups, paper straws, and avoided plastic packaging — so the event didn’t leave behind waste.

6. Eco-friendly Gifts

Each attendee took home a small plant — a symbolic gift to help raise environmental awareness at home.

At Gloton, ESG is not just a plan. It’s part of our company culture. This event marked the beginning of a long-term sustainability journey, which includes:

  • Using eco-friendly materials in production and event décor
  • Partnering with NGOs on community projects
  • Training staff on ESG and sustainable development principles

III. Event Highlights

1. Tree Planting Together

Everyone learned how to grow a small plant in Kokedama style and took it home as a “green buddy.”

2. Knowledge Sharing

Through quizzes and Q&A to help people learn how to care for plants and understand more about the environment.

3. Creative Team Building

The “Xé túi mù – Gallery Decoration” game brought teams together through fun and creativity.

4. Reusing Cardboard Standees

After the workshop, the materials were reused in internal talk-sharing sessions — reducing waste and maximizing impact.

This wasn’t just an isolated internal activity — it marked the start of Gloton’s long-term ESG commitment that Gloton - Commitment To Sustainable Development: to inspire, influence, and foster real positive change.
